Good Afternoon Family and Friends,
While on the World Race, I have been reading the Old Testament by taking one chapter a day. I used to be so scared to read the Old Testament because I did not think it was going to make sense but it has rocked my world.
I am now in the book of Deuteronomy. The theme that I notice while reading this book is G** wants the Israelites to remember that He brought them out of slavery. This theme is mentioned over and over again because He did not want them to forget. How easy it is for us to forget what G** has brought us out from. I grew up in a hard environment where my life was always lived in fear of what will happen next. G** brought me out of that and now I look back for encouragement because I know He continues to be with me wherever I go.
Friends and Family, I’m encouraging you to look back on what G** has brought you out of — this will help you walk in the next season with hope. If it helps, please write it down so that you do not forget when the trial comes up or the “hard pill to swallow” comes your way. He loves you and He doesn’t want you to forget where He brought you out of!
You are loved
Beautiful! Thank you, Antoinette. When you get to the laws, the many many laws, see how God has summed up the law in Loving God and Loving others. Hugs
Hi Antoinette! You are loved and missed! Thanks for the reminder to look back and remember what God has done and how He has brought us out of hard times. He is an awesome God and I need to keep my eyes on Him, NOT on my circumstances!!
I love this post, Antoinette! I agree – there is so much richness in the OT that can remind us of G**** holiness and love. Thanks!
Another lovely reflection, Antoinette – thank you! And it was so nice to catch up with you earlier this week. You are loved my friend!
Your insights are spot on. Thanks for the reminder I will take time to ponder and be grateful for all Gods brought me out of. I loved our time in Canakkale. It’s always a treat for me to catch up and hear of God‘s faithfulness in your life!
